The Inter-Greek Council (IGC) is the governing body for all general Greek-lettered chapters. The Council is advised by the Director and Assistant Directors of the Office of Student Life. The group is comprised of Presidents from each of the four councils.
IGC exists to support Greek chapters as integral parts of an enriching experience for undergraduates at UCSB. Further, the council upholds high standards for its chapters and their members through the Standards of Excellence program and on-going educational opportunities discussing alcohol and substance abuse, sexual assault, diversity, hazing, mental health, general nutrition and overall health, as well as leadership and professional development.
The council meets quaterly to discuss matters pertaining to the Greek community, including: Greek Week, educational programs, opportunities for council-wide collaboration, Scholarship Banquet, Greek Awards, etc.
