District Service Initiative

This year, the California-Nevada-Hawaii District of Circle K International has chosen to adopt Living   Healthy, Living Life as the official District Service Initiative! We want to promote a healthy lifestyle through exercise, smart food choices, education, and many other ways! Our club is really excited for upcoming service events that will deal with this initiative!

DFI's

The District Fundraising Initiatives have not changed since last year. The Cal-Nev-Ha district is still endorsing Pediatric Trauma Program (PTP), Not For Sale, and The Eliminate Project. Every member should be informed about the DFI's so you know what cause we are donating to whenever we have a charity fundraiser!

Pediatric Trauma Program
Kiwanis established PTP in 1994 due to the need for education and training regarding pediatric trauma and injury prevention. Donations goes towards training pediatric doctors, nurses and first responders, buying pediatric medical equipment, and creating outreach programs to educate communities about the issue.

Not For Sale
This non-profit organization is trying to eliminate modern slavery on a worldwide scale. Modern slavery includes sex trafficking and exploitation of children among many others. Not For Sale aims to educate, advocate, and take action in order to see that modern slavery comes to an end. Donations towards this organization goes to supporting survivors, providing education through boarding schools, buying medical supplies, building dormitories, and arranging other needs.

The Eliminate Project
KIwanis International and UNICEF are working together to eliminate maternal and neonatal tetanus. Nearly 60,000 women and infants die each year from this disease. Donations go towards vaccines and other medical supplies, transportation, training staff, and other
